Selwyn College is a stunning college founded in 1882, set amidst 7 acres of beautifully manicured grounds. Selwyn was one of the first all-male Cambridge University colleges to admit women.
Actors Hugh Laurie and Tom Hollander studied at Selwyn as well as some prominent MPs, writers and leading scientists.
Car parking: There are usually free roadside parking places in Cranmer Road, Herschel Road or Adams Road, and the college is just a 5-10 minute walk from there. Or there may be a metered parking space closer to the college in Sidgwick Avenue (roughly £10 for 6 hours).
Park & Ride: the college is 10 minutes by bus from Madingley Road Park & Ride or 12 minutes by bus from Trumpington Park & Ride. You can park for free and pay just a small return bus fare.
By rail: from the train station you can catch a taxi (10 mins).
