Description

If you lived like an old willow tree, what would life be like?

Join one of the free storytelling workshops during National Tree Week to find out! Enjoy the outdoors in winter, and create a story together with each other and the willow trees.

Where and when

The storytelling sessions will take place on Sheep’s Green and Coe Fen along the River Cam in Cambridge, CB2 1RB.

The sessions take place at various times from 26 until 30 November 2025.

What to prepare?

Dress for the weather, in warm layers, and wear comfortable shoes. Bring any medications you might need. The session is suitable for all ages and all languages. You don’t any need prior experience with storytelling.

What happens during a session?

There will be a short introduction before we enter Sheep’s Green and Coe Fen. We will stay outside for the duration of the 1.5 hour session. Through storytelling prompts, you will make your own stories and make stories together with each other and the willows. Warm drinks, cover for inclement weather, and all creative materials will be provided.
