Don’t miss the dazzling soprano Hera Hyesang Park in her Bliss Series debut, joined by world-renowned pianist Joseph Middleton for a radiant and richly varied recital that spans languages, cultures, and centuries.
This captivating programme begins with the elegance of Donaudy, before celebrating Park’s Korean heritage through evocative works by Juwon Kim, Dunam Cho, and Unyoung Na. The first half concludes with the exquisite lyricism of Richard Strauss, including the beloved Morgen!. After the interval, the duo explores vibrant Spanish and Latin American song in music by Montsalvatge, Granados, Halffter, Obradors, and Guridi, culminating in the soaring aria Ebben? Ne andrò lontana by Catalani.
Praised for her “radiant, seemingly effortless singing” (The Times), Park brings her voice of remarkable warmth, precision, and expressive power. Pianist Joseph Middleton, “the perfect accompanist” (New York Times), joins her in a recital full of joy, reflection, and dramatic colour.
